OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

For an electric stove will not start, check if the stove is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light on gas models. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is on in the oven, then some other part of the oven will need to be repaired. The cause of the problem might be the infinite switch, surface element, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven will not heat when there is a broken oven sensor or a malfunctioning bake element. A burner doesn’t turn on if an element breaks or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. We know how to troubleshoot and fix these problems in no more than 1-2 hours after we arrive.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It is safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the program or timer functions don’t work. If that is the case, we can fix control boards for LG, Sears, GE, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and the manufacturer parts we install for this oven repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it could be because of a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians are able to find the reason for the problem and repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A reoccurring stove problem is when an igniter glows but it will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken electronic control, surface igniter, safety valve or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we are able to repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN

New self-cleaning types of ovens are known to have door issues often. The door will not open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door latch, thermostat and seal to figure out why the door won’t open up and then complete the repair in order to put an end to the problem.
